Jackson’s
story is the classic Weimaraner story. Great dog, not great situation. We ask
folks all the time to please, please, please read about our breed and be ready
and responsible but it doesn’t sink in.
Jackson
is a really, really neat dog. Purchased by a very young couple, they now do not
have the time nor resources to care for him. He is living in Portland with his owner and four roommates. Jackson
is a 2 year old neutered male. Healthy, happy and vigorous. He knows his basic
commands, sit, place, stay, wait and come. He is house broken and sleeps in his
crate at night. Jackson gets along super with big dogs and
pretty much ignores small dogs.
He
loves to pull his owner on a long board and is full, full, full of energy. He
is affectionate and playful and loves big kids. Because Jackson is just a youngster himself, small
people-children are treated like bowling pins.
Jackson
has had the life of Riley so far going on rock climbing trips, beach combing,
and generally living the active life. His ideal new owner would be an active person with a good size fenced back yard. Jackson would love the company of another
medium to large dog, some kids to play with, and places to go and things to see.
He
is another perfect dog looking for his forever home. If he doesn’t fit your
home, do you know of anyone he might be just right for? Please contact us!
