Gypsy is a 5 year old female Weimaraner. She is adorable!
We pulled her from a shelter where she had been one time before, but this time the owner did not reclaim her - the best outcome!
Gypsy was rescued from a car with two other dogs by a Sheriff due to 100 degree outside temps! The time before she was running loose with other dogs at a trailer park where no one claimed to own her.
So she comes to us with no history, though it’s clear Gypsy is familiar with affection from humans and gets along with other dogs (and Kune Kune pigs!).
Gypsy adapted immediately to her foster home with three other young Weimaraners and is soaking up all the attention from her foster Dad (in fact, all four dogs sleep on Dad’s bed together at night!). Gypsy has shown no resource guarding with other dogs when around food nor with toys.
We do not know how she is with young children so if there are children in the home, we suggest they be at least age 12 and respectful of dogs.
Gypsy loves plush toys (her favorite is the cat - haha!) She does not chew on anything else in the house. We do not know if she is crate trained, but she does fine in the yard with the other dogs when her foster Dad is at work, so she might be okay if left in the house with another dog.
A home with a dog companion is a must for Gypsy. Her name is fitting in that she is very much connected to her family of dog mates and humans.
Gypsy met a kitten and was very gentle during the introduction, but she didn’t particularly enjoy an adult cat hissing at her; we believe she would give chase if she had the opportunity. A fenced yard for Gypsy is a must!
From Gypsy’s short time in foster, we know there are endless possibilities for her to become an amazing member of your household! She is an angel.
Gypsy weighs 65lbs and could use to gain about 5 more. She is microchipped, current on vaccines and spayed.
