Meet Eddie! Eddie is a sweet, affectionate Vizsla who is ready to find a home where he can enjoy the love, attention, and exercise he deserves.

Although Eddie turned 9 in February, he still has plenty of the energy and enthusiasm for which Vizslas are known. He loves trips to the beach, splashing in the water, running, hiking, playing fetch, and going for walks. When the adventure is over, he'll happily curl up in your lap for a nap. At about 60 pounds, he's on the smaller side and firmly believes he's the perfect lap dog!
 

Eddie enjoys being around people, children, and other dogs. He only barks to alert you or to express his excitement. He sleeps quietly through the night and would be thrilled to share your bed, though he's content on a dog bed if that's your preference. 
 

He is house-trained, rides well in the car, and is just ... easy. Eddie is not crate trained, but he is trustworthy when left alone in the house. After especially long days by himself, he may chew on a blanket out of boredom. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond his owner's control, Eddie currently spends 12–15 hours a day alone, including weekends, and has been for some time.  He needs a home where he can be a bigger part of someone's daily life.

Eddie knows a few basic commands and would enjoy working with his person to learn more. On walks, he is not reactive toward other dogs other than wanting to meet them. He does pull on the leash initially, but with regular exercise and consistency, this will improve. And he puts up with nail trims, such a good boy!

Eddie has not lived with cats and has the typical prey drive of a sporting breed, so a cat-free home is best. He enjoys small dogs and was raised with children ages 4 and older.  The chaos is fine with him - haha! 
 

Eddie is healthy, neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, and comes with a recent senior blood panel for his future veterinarian.
