***MICROCHIP CENTRAL***
READ: Explains how pet microchipping works
CHECK: It is essential that your microchip # be associated with a registry database participating in the AAHA universal pet microchip lookup linked above. This is where every agency searches to locate owners

1- Get your pet's microchip number handy

2- Enter that number into the field labeled "Microchip*" and then click "Search"
***Do not enter details into any of the "Optional Fields"

3- See which registry(s) has info for the microchip # entered
***You need to have an account with current contact details for each and every registry listed under the heading "Microchip enrolled with". Having incorrect or outdated data with just one registry could lead to the wrong person being contacted or outdated contact details

***If your search only yields a result under "Microchip distributed/manufactured by" then your chip has not been registered anywhere and will not provide aid in returning your lost pet to you.

DO: If your microchip # did not show up as enrolled with in the above search, then immediately go create an account and register your pet's microchip number with 24PetWatch to ensure your participation in the ONLY universal pet microchip lookup (AAHA). There is zero cost for registration with 24PetWatch though they would be more than happy to sell you add on services if you would like.

Your vet clinic did not register the microchip for you!
You are the sole person responsible for creating and maintaining a personal registry account

If you visit the beach with any frequency, adding the leptospirosis vaccine is highly recommended as sea lion populations along the west coast spread this disease. Follow the guidance and don't provide multiple vaccines all at once as Weimaraner's have an increased rate of vaccine reactions
