Meet Jinx! ❤️

Jinx is an 8-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart who will love you with her whole heart. This beautiful girl is happiest when she is with her people and will happily follow you around the house, snuggle up beside you, and even give you a hug with her front leg!

Jinx has the most adorable personality. At mealtime, she twirls and stomps her feet with excitement. She loves a raw egg cracked over her food and has even been known to hunt down a wayward egg in the yard rather than waiting for one from the coop! She thinks she’s a lap dog and will curl those long legs up surprisingly small on the couch. She also loves a cozy dog bed and being warm and comfortable.

Jinx is a wonderful combination of active and affectionate. She loves being outdoors, hiking, camping, and exploring, but she is equally happy to relax and hang out with her people. She is great on a leash, and when she runs, she is absolutely majestic. She stays close when off leash and, according to her owner, has some of the best recall they have ever seen.

Jinx is also a good little watchdog and will happily let you know when someone arrives at the house. And when her people come home? Get ready for one VERY happy dog! Jinx is incredibly excited to see her family and makes it clear just how much she has missed them.

Jinx currently lives with a cat and kittens and does well with them. She is curious about small animals but generally leaves them alone. She does, however, prefer to have her personal space respected, especially when she is relaxing on her dog bed, and will let the cats know if they get a little too close. She could also live with another dog who is respectful and isn't interested in trying to take charge of her.

Jinx would do best in a home without small children. Older children who have experience with dogs would be a better fit for her.

Most importantly, Jinx is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Her family has experienced significant medical challenges, resulting in many changes in Jinx’s life and leaving her feeling somewhat anxious and uncertain. Sadly, her loving family no longer has the time and attention this special girl deserves. Jinx is looking for a stable, loving home where she can feel secure, be part of a family, and simply enjoy life with her people.

Jinx does have KCS (dry eye) in her right eye, meaning that eye no longer produces tears. She receives a daily ointment and tolerates her treatment very well. Jinx is currently intact and will need to be spayed; the rescue will cover the cost of her spay.
